  • Sewing pattern Vogue 1239 (V1239) is an amazing dress pattern created by one of my absolute favorite designers, Chado Ralph Rucci
  • I fall over just looking at Rucci's designs, so to see him create a dress for me to emulate is the best
  • Luckily for me, when I purchased sewing pattern Vogue 1239 (V1239) it was available in my size which was good because I don't think I would have the ability to recreate Chado Ralph Rucci's design and it still be perfect
  • I think sewing the seams on this dress was by far the best fun I have had, although, anytime I sew is fun but this dress was special
  • It was definitely a sewing project worth taking on and I enjoyed every minute of it

Sewing pattern Vogue 1239 (V1239) is an amazing dress pattern created by one of my absolute favorite designers, Chado Ralph Rucci. I fall over just looking at Rucci’s designs, so to see him create a dress for me to emulate is the best.

Luckily for me, when I purchased sewing pattern Vogue 1239 (V1239) it was available in my size which was good because I don’t think I would have the ability to recreate Chado Ralph Rucci’s design and it still be perfect. The color choice of the fabric on the envelope was hard to come by–I didn’t find it at all in the particular fabric I liked–however, I did

find an amazing solid bubble gum pink poplin at Mood Fabrics. I don’t really own to many bright pink outfits, therefore, I had to purchase the particular fabric because I knew no one else would have it in their closet. For the lining, I knew I wouldn’t find the exact pink I had found for the dress so I came close with a solid veiled rose china silk for the lining. The lining also came from Mood Fabrics.

The best thing I found that I really liked about sewing pattern Vogue 1239 (V1239) were the seams along the back of the dress. The details of the seams and the placement of them ...

      • on the back of the dress draws your eyes to them, and then they branch out to look at the other details of the dress. I think sewing the seams on this dress was by far the best fun I have had, although, anytime I sew is fun but this dress was special. I love sewing pockets so I was glad to see that they were incorporated into the design which gave the dress an extra flare of style. I liked how when I was finished sewing and put the dress together that it came together beautifully: my garment looked exactly like the picture on the front of the envelope from
the seams to the pockets to the sash. Perfect.

Overall, sewing pattern Vogue 1239 (V1239) by Chado Ralph Rucci was by far my favorite garment to sew. I loved how simple yet elegant and sophisticated the dress was. I liked how easy it was to sew and I especially loved that even though the dress gave a little room it didn’t drown out my body. I loved the chic feel of the dress and the comfort of it as well. Styling was fun because I had to actually think about the accessories because the dress is bright pink. It was definitely a sewing project worth taking on and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Hi. I have just bought V1239 and notice that it has patches around the bottom of the dress which I cannot see on the front of the envelope in the picture. I intend to make the dress to the same length as the picture but without the patches. Has anyone got a comment on this please? Many thanks
