  • I only purchased these snack crackers once, and I didn't even finish the box because I found the snack crackers to be stale
  • They were certainly a great deal more reasonable in price, but unfortunately the quality simply wasn't there
  • Stale crackers was never something that I had to deal with when I purchased the Ritz brand of crackers, though, so even though they're more money, they're at least worth the money because I know I'm getting a box of fresh, quality crackers

The Kroger Value Snack Crackers come in a twelve ounce box for one dollar and forty-seven cents. These snack crackers resemble the original Ritz Crackers in size, color, but not in taste. I only purchased these snack crackers once, and I didn’t even finish the box because I found the snack crackers to be stale. The next time I was at Kroger, I returned them and got my money back. I didn’t bother to exchange the box I had for another because the box I had shouldn’t have contained stale snack crackers in the

first place since the “best if used by” date hadn’t yet come and gone, so I was concerned exchanging one box for another would’ve resulted in me getting more stale crackers.

I purchased these snack crackers hoping that they would be a decent replacement for Ritz Crackers when the Ritz brand wasn’t on sale. They were certainly a great deal more reasonable in price, but unfortunately the quality simply wasn’t there. The staleness of the snack crackers ruined both the flavor and texture of them. Not only did the staleness take away from the light,

      • buttery flavor that the snack crackers sort of had, but the staleness was really all that I tasted. Plus, since the crackers were stale, they weren’t as crunchy as they should have been, and thus weren’t as enjoyable as Ritz Crackers in that respect, either. Regardless of whether I ate these snack crackers plain or with some sort of a topping like cheese, or I added them to a bowl of chili, my dissatisfaction remained because the staleness of the snack crackers made enjoyment of them impossible.

The Kroger Value Snack Crackers won’t be added

to my shopping cart again. The fact that the crackers were stale well before the expiration date makes me think that the chances of me picking up another stale box of crackers is quite possible. Had the snack crackers not been stale, they likely would have been an acceptable alternative to Ritz Crackers. Stale crackers was never something that I had to deal with when I purchased the Ritz brand of crackers, though, so even though they’re more money, they’re at least worth the money because I know I’m getting a box of fresh, quality crackers.
