  • Being that my hands tend to dry out pretty easily under any kind of new stimuli, I am always trying to minimize the stress that I put on them to avoid scaly and cracked skin
  • Another thing that I really love about this dishwashing liquid is how light and fluffy the lather is, which is perhaps the reason this product is so gentle on skin
  • In my experience dishwashing liquid is quite heavy and thick, not Ivory, which feels more like a good body wash than something that cuts grease on plates
  • Although a persistent smell is not something I would normally want in my kitchen, this smell is so pleasant, it is definitely a welcome addition

I had never heard of the Ivory brand in a capacity other than bar soap. As a bar soap, however, it is known to be the most gentle cleanser around, being mild enough that it floats. This is the only soap that I have heard of being used to clear up acne and as a daily face wash. All this good information immediately popped up when I spied Ivory dishwashing liquid. Being that my hands tend to dry out pretty easily under any kind of new stimuli, I am always trying to minimize the stress that I put on them to avoid scaly and cracked

skin. If Ivory soap is gentle enough to use on a face, it must be gentle enough on hands, I thought, so going on that idea I purchased a small bottle to try out.

I am happy to say that I have been pleasantly surprised with this product. It is just as gentle as the Ivory reputation suggests. After washing dishes, even a large load that takes a good amount of time, my hands come out feeling the same as before I began to wash instead of dried out and needing moisturizer to be applied as is usually the case for me.

      Another thing that I ...

      • really love about this dishwashing liquid is how light and fluffy the lather is, which is perhaps the reason this product is so gentle on skin. Unlike other similar products, Ivory lathers easily making a small amount last for a long time on a sponge. In my experience dishwashing liquid is quite heavy and thick, not Ivory, which feels more like a good body wash than something that cuts grease on plates. With that said, I must make a note that it does indeed cut grease and wash dishes just as well as any other product that I have tried including Palmolive and Dial, which
are other well-known and respected brands.

A small, but not negligible aspect of this product is its lovely smell. Again, this does not match up with my previous experiences with dishwashing liquid, which usually have the standard smells of some kind of citrus fruit and pines, but instead resembles a good fabric softener, making the smell much more welcoming and pleasant. After a load of dishes is done, the scent continues to waft throughout the kitchen as it is fairly potent. Although a persistent smell is not something I would normally want in my kitchen, this smell is so pleasant, it is definitely a welcome addition.
