I went to Egypt last summer and I was quite impressed. The people there are amazing, they are very very friendly. This review will cover a few things: Transportation, Restaurants, Entertainment. First of all Transportation.

Its really easy and cheap to get some transportation. There are taxi’s all over the place and although they are not marked, you will recognise them. And if you can’t find them, they will find you.

Most of the time you can just jump in the back of the car, and they’ll

drop you of at your point. You will have to discuss the price beforehand. Sometimes you can even hire a taxi for a full day.

We did that once when we went diving a few miles out of dahab. The driver went with us, and stayed at the local restaurant for the day while we went diving. It is polite to offer him something to drink or eat.

Next: Restaurants There are alot of restaurants on the boulevard. ALOT! All of them are different but most of them ...

      • have the same prices. There is also an Italian restaurant who has delicious pizza’s for around 25/30 Egyptian Pounds (Roughly in Euro’s = divide by 7).

There also a Chinese restaurant and I can really recommend this one. There food is amazing, their staff is very very friendly, and the restaurant is really fancy. All the other restaurants are pretty much the same, they all serve great drinks and food for very low prices.

Entertainment You cannot get bored in Dahab. There are so many excursions that its

unable to get bored. You can go diving, visit various parts of the desert, quad driving through the desert, surfing, boat-trips on the redsea, or just layback at one of the restaurants located on the beach.

I especially recommend the quad driving. That is really awesome AND fast. And don’t forget to dive, or go snorkling.

Snorkling itself is already amazing, guess what diving is. There is alot of coral in the redsea and at Dahab. A few miles outside Dahab is The Blue Hole, a famous diving spot.

        Its also really beatiful there.

Dahab in Egypt is a very nice city on the red sea surrounded by mountains, you can do a lot of activities between sea and dessert activities, the most amazing thing for me to do is to visit the blue hole for snorkeling or diving, actually it is one of the most beautiful diving sites over the world..it is a deep hole with a magnificent coral around the edges of the hole and the water is Crystal blue..be careful if you think about diving, don’t get to deep, as the locals have set a grave to those who lost their life diving too deep and have latterly been taken by the beauty of the blue hole

    Joel says :

It is a former Bedouin fishing village which is now a popular tourist destination especially for serious windsurfers, who’ll find some of the best conditions in the world off Dahab’s beaches. Long known as a laid-back, backpacker-friendly town, Dahab is becoming more developed, yet retains a casual vibe
