  • They are yellow corn taco shells and I think they taste as good and fresh as the taco shells sold under the name brands
  • This is a problem I've had more often with the Great Value brand of taco shells compared with the name brands, but I've had the same problem with the name brand taco shells on occasion too
  • Aside from sometimes ending up with a box of damaged taco shells, I like this product
  • For the number of taco shells that come in a box at the price they sell for, I definitely consider the value to be quite impressive and that's why I chose the store brand over the name brand taco shells
  • I'm pretty happy with this product and would recommend it to any person that likes to make tacos at home

The Great Value Taco Shells come twelve to a pack for one dollar at Walmart. They are yellow corn taco shells and I think they taste as good and fresh as the taco shells sold under the name brands. On a couple of occasions, I’ve purchased these taco shells and found several to be cracked or smashed upon opening the box. This is a problem I’ve had more often with the Great Value brand of taco shells compared with the name brands, but I’ve had the same problem with the name brand taco shells

on occasion too. Although it’s a bit of a hassle, I simply go back to Walmart and exchange the box of broken taco shells for a new box. I always ask the employee at the customer service desk if I can open the box and make sure that the taco shells in that box aren’t broken so that I don’t have to come back out again, and so far, I’ve always gotten someone that hasn’t had a problem with that request.

Aside from sometimes ending up with a box of damaged taco shells, I like ...

      • this product. The yellow corn taco shells have flavor to them and greatly resemble yellow corn tortilla chips in taste. The taco shells haven’t once seemed stale and have always been pleasantly crunchy. Like the name brand taco shells, they certainly aren’t too flexible, so sometimes it’s painstakingly hard to fill the taco shell with sufficient ground beef, cheese, lettuce, diced tomato and so on. As messy and challenging as the process can be, I still enjoy making tacos at home and find these store brand tacos, when purchased in a non-broken state, to
be quite enjoyable and satisfactory. For the number of taco shells that come in a box at the price they sell for, I definitely consider the value to be quite impressive and that’s why I chose the store brand over the name brand taco shells.

The Great Value Taco Shells make it extra affordable to have a Mexican-style meal that’s delightful in taste. The taco shells are reasonably wide and have a fresh flavor to them, too. I’m pretty happy with this product and would recommend it to any person that likes to make tacos at home.
