  • When I saw the movie Season of the Witch advertising early this year on cable, I definitely wanted to watch it, and I became even more interested in seeing it after I saw that the actor Robert Sheenan from Misfits had a major role in it
  • However, I stand firm to the fact that I genuinely enjoyed the movie, and it was not even quarter as bad as some of the movies I had seen in my lifetime
  • For example, it seemed like nearly every review I had read about Season of the Witch would criticise the plot very harshly saying that it had too many loopholes in it or just plain stuff that didn’t make much sense, but I personally think that one of the best things about the movie was the plot
  • I thought that it was very original, unpredictable and I loved the twist at the end of the movie even though that’s what apparently killed it for most people
  • I would recommend Season of the Witch to not the usual Nicholas Cage fans, but people who like period films

The movie, which was set in the time of the Crusades, was about two army deserting knights who are commanded by the church to take a woman who

has been accused of being a witch to trial, because it is believed that she is the cause of the Bubonic Plague.

To say that I read a lot of bad reviews about “Season of the Witch” is an understatement. However, I stand firm to the fact that I genuinely enjoyed the movie, and it was not even quarter as bad as some of the movies I had seen in my lifetime.

      For example,

Another thing that I thought could have been improved upon a lot was the accents of the two knights who were both played by American actors. It honestly felt as if they weren’t even trying to fit in with the time and place sometimes.

I would recommend “Season of the Witch” to not the usual Nicholas Cage fans, but people who like period films.
