I am happy that this original scent from Giorgio Armani came out as a newly repackaged version. Aqua Di Gio was one of the classic scents that I really like. Albeit I discovered this late, the original had captured once again the perfect description of freshness in me. It was light and affectionate and full of modest traits. When I truly love a perfume, I often wish it will always be reincarnated through releasing different versions. This edition was similar in all aspects as regards the packaging except that the container was painted aqua blue in asymmetrical shape in the middle which simulates as if this fragrance was dipped in water.

The olfactive group for which it belongs was not changed either. This fragrance still belongs to aromatic aquatic

which makes me more excited. There are several repackaged editions of other brands which changes the entire smell.

The notes contained in this perfume was minimal compared to the original version.

The scent kicks off with neroli and bergamot. One of the top notes is also aquatic notes. The first spray was like a breezy mild floral fruity effect which was so relaxing. The middle part was interesting because it has persimmon and rosemary. The former is a vegetable which has a smell close to the fruity category although does not have that sweet taste to it. Then rosemary is obviously grassy in terms of smell. The heart for me was the start of the aromatic aspect of the perfume. In the dry down stage, it intensified the aromatic ...

      • spell with pachouli, labdanum and amber. It had an unrevealed masculine smell perhaps because of the woody effect of patchouli but the fragrance remained light and breezy nonetheless. It remained very soft and tender.

The fragrance was impressive for me because of its quality and the choice of notes. I foremost love the fact that it did not leave the aromatic aquatic category because it would have been less exciting for me if this was different. The beauty of Aqua Di Gio in whatever repackaged edition it might be is the aquatic tone of the scent. When this was first marketed, it already weaved reputation as a scent which is modest and refreshing. This quality was the best marketing tool for this brand. Just like Cool Waters For Men

which transcends through time. However, being a newer version I was also expecting revisions and not identical with the first one.

Aqua Di Life diversifies the scent through using different aromatic scent yet maintaing that continuous aquatic tone. One impressive aspect is how I felt the aquatic smell in every stage. It makes the scent refreshing which is the idealism of the original version. Then the choices of aromatic flavors was not identical to the original version too which makes this edition a stand out. The aromatic aspect made the perfume green and not stinky. One major difference here is the lack of floral notes which filled the original version. This was raw and the aromatic components came out as it is. I find this edition as modern, light and beautiful.
