  • I decided to give it a try and see how well it tasted compared with The Bakery At Walmart Lemon Sliced Loaf Cake, a bakery item that is carried only by Walmart in the bakery section
  • This lemon pound cake that I found at an ALDI Food Market store was however cheaper and contained a few extra slices, and the packaging stated it was imported from Germany, so I was curious enough to try it
  • I enjoy having a slice of pound cake after breakfast as sort of a treat sometimes, and although I prefer vanilla, lemon I like to have, too
  • The Kuchenmeister product was more like regular sliced bread, which isn't a terrible thing, it's just that I prefer the moistness of the Walmart loaf cake
  • With the Kuchenmeister loaf cake, I'm missing out on the moistness that I enjoy so very much with the Walmart product

Kuchenmeister Lemon Pound Cake is a product that I came across at an ALDI Food Market store for one dollar and sixty-nine cents. I decided to give it a try and see how well it tasted compared with The Bakery At Walmart Lemon Sliced Loaf Cake, a bakery item that is carried only by Walmart in the bakery section. The Walmart product I very much love for its moistness and richness. This lemon pound cake that I found at an ALDI Food Market store was however cheaper and contained a few extra slices, and the

packaging stated it was imported from Germany, so I was curious enough to try it. I enjoy having a slice of pound cake after breakfast as sort of a treat sometimes, and although I prefer vanilla, lemon I like to have, too.

What first struck me about this lemon pound cake was that it wasn’t as moist as the Walmart loaf cake. It wasn’t dry and it certainly wasn’t stale, but the freshness just wasn’t as prominent or pleasant. With the Walmart product, the loaf cake almost feels as if it will melt in my ...

      • mouth if I give it enough time. The Kuchenmeister product was more like regular sliced bread, which isn’t a terrible thing, it’s just that I prefer the moistness of the Walmart loaf cake. When it comes to lemon-flavoring, both cakes have a refreshing and rich lemon taste that’s close enough to being identical to the extent that I can’t say with certainly which one excels above the other in taste. With the Kuchenmeister loaf cake, I get slightly more cake for less money, and while the lemon flavoring is extremely satisfying, the moistness of the
loaf cake isn’t as impressive when compared with the Walmart loaf cake.

I will pay more and just stick with the Walmart product. With the Walmart loaf cake, I can enjoy fresh and moist cake with a refreshing and real lemon taste. With the Kuchenmeister loaf cake, I’m missing out on the moistness that I enjoy so very much with the Walmart product. The price of the Kuchenmeister loaf cake is certainly more attractive than the three dollar price tag on the Walmart loaf cake, but the cake itself isn’t as appealing, and I won’t be buying it again.
