  • Also, there were a lot of times in this movie where I thought the film was a bit too adult-oriented

Synopsis: The animals from the first Open Season movie find themselves on another adventure as their daschund friend is re-claimed by his owners and they go after him in an effort to rescue him and bring him back to the wild. What I liked about this movie: There were actually some pretty funny moments in it ranging from characters like Fifi (a male poodle who hates wild animals) to a gas station attendant who

has a few funny scenes on his own.

The movie also is pretty lighthearted; especially when the deer keeps losing his antlers and the wild animals disguise themselves as cats and dogs in an effort to infiltrate an animal park.

The bear disguised as a sheep dog was actually pretty funny (especially when he kept scaring his friends).

What I didn’t like about this movie: Well, as it usually the case whenever you have ...

      • an animated sequel, none of the characters were voiced by the same well-known actors that were in the first movie.

In fact, I didn’t recognize any of the names and the voices really didn’t match at times.

Also, there were a lot of times in this movie where I thought the film was a bit too adult-oriented.

This included a lot of scenes involving butt sniffing and a few subtle sexual innuendos (nothing the

kids would notice but they were still there and this is supposed to be a kid’s movie).

My Final Opinion: I thought the first Open Season was a pleasant surprise when I watched it and hoped this one would be the same way.

Unfortunately, it was nowhere as good as the first film or most other animated films.

At best, it’s an animated movie and I think parents need to take some caution before watching it with very young children.
