This is a review of the Barnes and Noble Nook eBook reader
This is a perfect example of a device that tries to do too much and makes it very difficult and a pain to use.
The primary reason somebody would use a eBook reader is to read eBooks, not to surf the net or listen to music. Sure these features are great, but they take away from the device’s main purpose which really has lead to the fact on how unpopular these
devices are.
For the people who actually buy it for the web browser, you will be extremely disappointed.
The user interface is absolutely horrible and even when very close to a WiFi access point, pages take quite long to load. Also, the nook’s only way to navigate around a webpage is by the tiny little touchscreen below the display screen. the actual display screen is not in color and is difficult to see during the day and impossible to see at all during the night.
Also, what were they thinking putting a music player in it
It makes absolutely no sense. It is like putting a eBook reader on a cell phone with a tiny screen or a mp3 player with a tiny screen. It is terribly impractical and just simply out of place.
I purchased this device when they first came out and returned it shortly afterwards. It was a waste of time and a waste of money. It is not even a good eBook reader,
