Pasar Sukawati, Jalan Raya Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia (~45 minutes from Kuta)
  • For most of the items that I bought, I got them for less than half of the original price
  • Talking about quality, I won't say they are the best
  • You can get super fine items in traditional boutiques in Seminyak (very famous hip street with trendy shops and all near Kuta), but if you want souvenirs with average quality and memorable shopping experience, I definitely recommend Sukawati art market

This market is where you want to go for bargain stuff in Bali. Around 45 minutes away from Kuta which is the main tourist spot in Bali, you can reach Sukawati market with a chartered car any hotels usually provide for 250,000 rupiahs.

You know how you always need to buy loads of (cheap) souvenirs for people at home, or just something to show your friends that you have been in this

cool vacation? my advice for you who are going to Bali, don’t bother buying it anywhere but Sukawati market. Dubbed as the central art market in Bali, Sukawati is where you can find everything ethnics, such as musical instruments, Balinese sarong, Indonesian traditional clothes, paintings, jewelries, beach clothes, you name it, most probably you can find it there.

One thing to remember, you have to haggle hard. For most of the items ...

      • that I bought, I got them for less than half of the original price. The rest, slightly more than half of the price. Never feel worried that you might loose a chance of not getting the stuff you want to buy, if you can’t bargain in one shop, you can always find other shops selling similar stuff in this big and crowded traditional market.

Talking about quality, I won’t say they are

the best. Since most of the stuff they sell are the same you can find everywhere in Bali, with a lot better price, quantity is the main focus compared to quality here. You can get super fine items in traditional boutiques in Seminyak (very famous hip street with trendy shops and all near Kuta), but if you want souvenirs with average quality and memorable shopping experience, I definitely recommend Sukawati art market.
