  • This makes for an interesting tale about trying to survive your younger years while being different to everybody else, but wraps it up with enough comedy and action to make it never feel like you're watching an emotionally charged drama or anything like that
  • I enjoyed the soundtrack a lot too which features a few of those really eighties sounding tunes found in movies of that era

Going through a bit of a retro phase lately has made me notice just how much the overall movie industry hs changed over the years. And after re-watching the Michael J. Fox movie TEEN WOLF I hate to quote such a common saying but ‘they just don’t make them like they used to’.

Seriously, when is the last time anything like this was released in the modern age of cinema? Everything these days for some reason has to be dark and edgy, but back when TEEN WOLF was released

things were very different. I really like the base of the storyline, which is about a teenager, played by Michael J. Fox who turns into a werewolf but still tries to fit in and life the normal life of a young adolescent. This makes for an interesting tale about trying to survive your younger years while being different to everybody else, but wraps it up with enough comedy and action to make it never feel like you’re watching an emotionally charged drama or anything like that.

      I really like ...

      • Michael J. Fox, and to me this is his best movie apart from of course the Back To The Future films which are true classics. Fun Fact… In Italy, this movie was released only a very short time after the original Back To The future film, so in the overdub process the main character was renamed as Marty, so as to keep fans of the Back To The future movie interested. Also in Brazil the film was re-titled as Boy From the Future to try and draw in more
        crowds.

I enjoyed the soundtrack a lot too which features a few of those really eighties sounding tunes found in movies of that era. David Palmer, James House and Mark Safan all contribute some great songs and it’s all topped of with Surfin’ USA from the Beach Boys.

If you have already seen this movie then you know how good it is, so all that’s left to do is grab a copy on DVD for your collection. If you haven’t seen the movie, go and check it out today!
