The Apple Hostel, Chungking Gardens, Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong
  • It was the best decision we made there- we shared a single room, no frills, just a tv and a shower
  • It cost around 35 Hong kong dollars a night-10 american dollars
  • We will definitely stay there again if we return to Hong Kong

In May of 2010 me and my friend from the Philippines went to Hong kong for a few days. We were on a tight budget and we needed a change from the typical expensive hotels on nathan road in kowloon. We decided to stay at a hostel- a cheap hotel which they have all over the world.

We went to chung king mansion- a part of hong kong where most of the

hostels are located. We booked a room at the apple hostel on the 8th floor.

It was the best decision we made there- we shared a single room, no frills, just a tv and a shower. It cost around 35 Hong kong dollars a night-10 american dollars.

We saved a fortune on our hotel bill. We only went back to the room to sleep anyway- we were out all day enjoying the ...

      • sights of Hong Kong.

The rooms were totally safe. The staff had strong locks on all the doors.

All the rooms had high speed internet access for your laptop- i made good use of that. The rooms were cleaned daily and it was very quiet at night for sleeping.

There were about 15 hostels in a square block on nathan road- all of them were about the same price. The lobby area had

every type of store and restaraunt you could think of.

The people there were from all over the world- a lot were from the middle east and africa. We stayed around 4 days at the apple hostel- we loved it there, the diverse mixture of all different people and the convenience of the location- near everthing in downtown Hong Kong all were a most pleasant surpirise.

We will definitely stay there again if we return to Hong Kong.
