  • However, these were all newly released songs to the best of my knowledge and entitling the album after himself when he was such a new country musician struck me as a tad bit cocky, over confident, and egotistical
  • I have to say that after listening to the album I could definitely understand why he named the album after himself
  • With such obvious talent as his, it was a great move and one that I think probably really helped establish his name in country music

One of my sisters favorite male country singers is Keith Urban. It is for that reason that she bought me one of his cd, hoping that I would not like it and would give it to her. The album that she bought me was his self titled album “Keith Urban”. I am not sure how much she paid for it, but I can say that she bought it at walmart because she left the sticker on it and just blacked out

      the price.

I have to be honest that I was a little turned off by this album because it bore his name. I could have understood if it was a album of number one hits, or something of that nature. However, these were all newly released songs to the best of my knowledge and entitling the album after himself when he was such a new country musician struck me as a tad bit cocky, over confident, and egotistical. I put ...

      • off listening to the album for several weeks and finally had nothing else new to listen too so I popped it in the cd player.

Well I can say that, much to my sisters disappointment, I loved the album. I was suprised at first at Urban’s musical abilities. He has decent vocals, but his guitar playing is awesome. He has alot of obvious talent with the guitar and it was obvious in this album. My favorite song was “Where The Black

Top Ends” and my second favorite was “Baby, It’s A Love Thing”. Both songs had great vocal lyrics, tempo’s and guitar playing.

I have to say that after listening to the album I could definitely understand why he named the album after himself. With such obvious talent as his, it was a great move and one that I think probably really helped establish his name in country music. I would definitely suggest that those who love country music buy this album.
