  • I enjoyed slowly learning the history about the witch involved in this story, as that is smack dab in the center of the tale
  • It was also interesting to see how Sarah learned the history of a house, as I was never sure how one did that sort of thing

This was another excellent paranormal story by Heather Graham. This one involved a ghost that looks almost exactly like a man the main character knows. I also thought this story was a bit more complex than the others, as there is a lot going on in this book: ghosts, skeletons inside the walls of a house, black magic and a serial killer. Well, several serial killers if you want to be exact. Yeah, it seems that almost all

of the books I’ve read by Heather Graham involve a serial killer and this one is no different. I guess she must be hooked on them but she sure does write great stories!

I enjoyed slowly learning the history about the witch involved in this story, as that is smack dab in the center of the tale. The author gives us little bits at a time as the main character, Sarah, learns more about the history of the house ...

      • she bought and the bodies it contains and the witch involved in it all. It was also interesting to see how Sarah learned the history of a house, as I was never sure how one did that sort of thing. I guess it helped a lot that her house was an old historic one that used to serve as a funeral parlor and thus there were a lot of records on it. Old diaries from the era also
        helped.

The idea of working on your house, knocking down old walls and finding piles of human bones – that’s really freaky. And then seeing a ghost! The bits with the ghost were actually funny at first, because Sarah thought that the PI (who looks just like the ghost) was playing tricks on her.

The private investigator working the case even has a hard time following it, as there are lots of dead ends and confusion, the killer using fake names, etc.
