Although I loved all of the other books I have read by Heather Graham, I didn’t care for this one as much as the others. It just seemed to me there was too much arguing between the characters in this book and that spoiled it for me somewhat. One of the characters, the old man’s new wife, came across as very nasty and bitter to the other family members. She was meant to be nasty and

cold blooded, of course, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. Not that the book was truly awful or anything, it was still a good story, but not as good as the other ones. There are some good freaky scenes in this book, like with the huge flocks of crows that surround the house.

This is the story about the greed over a lost treasure that two men have been seeking their entire lives and ...

      • how tragedy strikes at Christmas time. It’s also a paranormal romance that involves a banshee – something I never ran across before. Of course, we don’t find out the girl is a banshee until the very end. Until then, there is a great deal of mistrust in the romance, with the male believing she is keeping secrets from him (and lying about being a banshee, of course).

The identity of the killer in this book was

so easy to guess. It’s like everyone knows it and other characters even say it. There’s really no guesswork involved.

The short scene where the drinking off duty cop guarding a deserted island of rock got killed was good. It’s probably the best scene in the whole book. He was really shocked when a dead crow fell from the sky and landed on his lap!

OK, this book is probably worst than what I said up above.
