  • I'm happy to report though that with this new album Blood Alliance, all the faults of the past have been rectified and all of a sudden they have released a really, really good album, so good in fact that I'm sure it will be one of the best power metal albums of 2011
  • The interesting thing is that only one member of the band from the previous album remains, keyboardist Steve Williams who is the last remaining original member
  • Finally Power Quest have released and album that i am willing to recommend to people, unlike their last few

Power Quest have always been a band that i am constantly frustrated with. They always hinted at greatness, but for some reason were never really able to put it all together when needed the most. I’m happy to report though that with this new album Blood Alliance, all the faults of the past have been rectified and all of a sudden they have released a really, really good album, so good in fact that I’m sure it will be one of

the best power metal albums of 2011.

The interesting thing is that only one member of the band from the previous album remains, keyboardist Steve Williams who is the last remaining original member. He obviously felt frustrated with the way things were going too as he actually re cast the entire band. This has worked wonders for the band as clearly this group of guys has a better idea on how to write a great power metal record.

      I also think ...

      • that the addition of ex Civilization One front man CHITY SOMAPALA has been the best move the band has made in its entire history. He brings to the band a more melodic approach and there is even a few moments on the album where he sounds like he could be the singer for any one of the new breed of melodic rock bands that have cropped up over the last decade. The guitars seem to have improved a lot too, and
this time around Steve Williams has obviously realized that his keyboard work was way too prominent in past releases, which makes the rolling power metal sound feel more natural that some of the faux melodic feelings that past past albums let off.

Finally Power Quest have released and album that i am willing to recommend to people, unlike their last few. In fact I would like to recommend to any power metal fan to go and check it out right now, it’s truly awesome.
