he first thing i noticed about this recently released hidden object adventure game was just how short it was. Look, i know that the genre of hidden object games is known for games that are quite short, but seriously i was done with this game in under two hours. Now i don’t know about you, but i don’t really see that as value for money, and there is no real re-playability factor either because the game isn’t really that good.

I’ll start off with the obvious… The hidden object scenes are ridiculously easy and i finished each

one in the space of a minute and a half tops. This is because the scenes don’t actually have that many things in them, so finding what you need is just way too easy. The other main problem i had with the game is just how much it holds your hand. I mean the game constantly tells you exactly where to go and exactly what to do which makes it feel like not much of a game at all. There is also some inventory puzzles in the game, but usually the item you need to use to ...

      • continue will be sitting right next to the thing you need to use it on. There’s also a handful of puzzles that need to be completed but they are either way too easy and can be solved in seconds, or so illogical that you either need luck or just press the skip button, which by the way is always fully charged, taking yet more of the challenge away from the already way too easy game.

The storyline was okay, if not a little cliche. But the fact is that the storyline is really very thin and feels

more like an episodic adventure rather than a fully fleshed out game. At the end of the day i am not satisfied with this game for the money i spent. The hidden object scenes needed to be more detailed, the game needed some form of challenge and i really think it should have lasted me at least another two hours or so, Do yourself a favor, if you are looking for a hidden object adventure game with a spooky theme and a ghost story, go for Phantasmat instead, Curse Of The Ghost Ship really isn’t worth bothering with.
