I love the idea of all natural products, but the bottom line is that it has to also work. Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Dusting Powder is an alternative to your basic baby powder. The problem with most baby powder is that it has talc. Talc is not the healthiest chemical, yet oddly enough, we slather our babies and own skin with this stuff. If you are only hoping for the healthiest option for your baby and for yourself, why settle for any kind of toxicity? There are well known studies easily found online that link talc to cancer. Scary stuff. It’s almost impossible to avoid some level of “bad” chemicals, but why not

avoid the ones we can at least easily control by making smarter purchasing choices? That is where my review comes in.

Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Dusting Powder is 99.63% natural according to their label claims, and is talc-free. Instead of the moisture-absorbing talc, Burt’s Bees uses cornstarch, baking soda, and a combination of natural clays to do the trick. In addition, it has a GREAT smell! It is called Baby Bee, but it truly isn’t just for baby use. It doesn’t have the typical baby powder scent; instead, it has a soft natural fragrance. LOVE IT. This fragrance is good for baby, and good for me. I don’t have any children, so my use ...

      • of this powder is quite different than that of a mom’s. I use this powder as a gentle duster to my skin on hot summer days. It is NOT in-place of antiperspirant, so let me be clear on that! It is great in-addition to antiperspirant to help your whole body feel dry. I very lightly sprinkle it on my back and chest. The natural clays in this product wonderfully absorb any moisture that comes from the humid summer days of New York. Other than that, I also use it as a great alternative to dry shampoo, and it works shockingly well for this purpose. I sprinkle a bit between my hands, toss
my head upside-down, rub my hands aggressively through my scalp, and throughout the body of my hair. Then, I take a dry towel and rub my head with it to get out any extra powder, and remove any white residue. Snap! Cleaner looking hair with a nice fresh scent!

POWDER TEXTURE AND APPEARANCE The texture of this powder is identical to that of regular baby powder. It is white and light. It comes with a sprinkle twist top and is small enough to carry in your purse, yet large enough to last for numerous uses. In addition, it is packaged in an easy recyclable container. LIKE!

BOTTOM LINE: Highly recommended for baby, mommy, and the single girl.
