  • Even though I am a fairly health-conscious person when it comes to buying products, and I thought I had invested in some pretty safe, natural products, I discovered they were still subject to being dosed with parabens and mineral oil – two things that are actually bad for your skin
  • It smelled amazing, though I'm not sure exactly what the scent was
  • I was totally pleased with this lotion for a good while until I read the label and discovered that it wasn't completely free of the ingredients I was trying to avoid
  • I have since found a lotion I like better for the reasons that is paraben- and mineral-oil-free, but I can't say that I don't miss using this lovely Suave lotion

Awhile back I became interested in trying out a body lotion with cocoa butter in it. Everyone was saying so many positive things about it. I also became cautious of some of the ingredients that were used to manufacture the popular lotions that I was using. Even though I am a fairly health-conscious person when it comes to buying products, and I thought I had invested in some pretty safe, natural products, I discovered they were still subject to being dosed

with parabens and mineral oil – two things that are actually bad for your skin.

So I was very pleased when I began scouring the lotion aisle at the grocery store and discovered Suave Cocoa Butter with Shea, a cheap body lotion in a big pump bottle. I bought it right away and loved it. It smelled amazing, though I’m not sure exactly what the scent was. The bottle didn’t have a scent listed, but I suppose it was just a cocoa-y ...

      • smell – sweet and a bit chocolatey. The lotion glided on very smoothly when applied, and seemed to do a pretty good job of moisturizing my skin, which tends to be on the dry side.

I was totally pleased with this lotion for a good while until I read the label and discovered that it wasn’t completely free of the ingredients I was trying to avoid. It had the added cocoa butter and shea butter, which was a definite step up, but it

still included the things I wanted to try to stay away from.

So, if you’re looking for a healthy, pampering option and don’t mind that there are a few scant risks in the product, this is like just the product for you! You will love the results, the feel, the smell, and the price. I have since found a lotion I like better for the reasons that is paraben- and mineral-oil-free, but I can’t say that I don’t miss using this lovely Suave lotion.
