  • Although I must admit that these jeans are very flattering on my figure and the denim looks expensive, I regret buying these Lee jeans as they are not particularly comfortable
  • I think the denim does not seem to have as much stretch in it with these Lee ones
  • When I sit down they seem rather tight over my thighs and they definitely dig in at the hips
  • I have noticed that they do not go too baggy when I have worn them for a day or two

Although I must admit that these jeans are very flattering on my figure and the denim looks expensive, I regret buying these Lee jeans as they are not particularly comfortable. Not only that, but they have an annoying gap at the back of the waistband. They are quite tight across the hips and yet there is this gap so really they are designed for someone who is less curvy than me with my generous hips. I am UK size 12 in jeans usually and these are the 30” waist ones I am reviewing. I would say this style would suit someone with a more boyish figure. That said, the denim is really nice and they

      do look good.

The denim - blue/black it is called - is a very deep blue with a sheen to it. It is not a flat, navy blue colour but is as though faded blue jeans have been washed in ink. Because of this sheen and the expensive look of this denim I tend to wear these jeans when I want to look a bit more dressed up, say for shopping in town or going on a night out. They seem too dressy to just wear with a t-shirt for knocking about but maybe that is just me. As I am 5’9” I had the long length at 34” and the length is great. The legs are ...

      • on the slim side as straight jeans usually are. These look really good with shoe boots in particular and a black blazer jacket for going out.

Since I purchased these jeans, I have discovered that another brand fits me much better and so although I was initially pleased with these and thought I would forgive the jeans that gap at the back, I wish I had tried some more brands first. I think the denim does not seem to have as much stretch in it with these Lee ones. When I sit down they seem rather tight over my thighs and they definitely dig in at the hips. These are not comfortable jeans for me at all.

When I put them on I have to hold my breath in to close the button but yet there is that gap still. I have noticed that they do not go too baggy when I have worn them for a day or two. My figure does look good in them though and a good thing I can say about them is that they do seem to give my butt a lift!

So to summarise, these jeans look absolutely great but if, like me, you have generous hips (my hips are not that big but just rounded!) I think you will not find them such a great fit. They were expensive too at about £80. You can buy them from
