  • I was eager to give these tortilla chips a try because I enjoy tortilla chips, especially and really only with dip, and I had never come across tortilla chips that were pizza-flavored and ranch-flavored
  • The problem that I have with these tortilla chips pertains to how they taste
  • Unfortunately, the ranch-flavoring doesn't agree very much with cheese-flavored or spinach-flavored dip in my opinion, but it's not too bad with a tomato-flavored dip
  • I think Lay's Ranch Flavored Potato Chips have a slightly better ranch taste than the ranch-flavored tortilla chips do and the pizza-flavored tortilla chips are pretty unimpressive and don't make me think of pizza like the ranch-flavored tortilla chips make me think of ranch salad dressing

Clancy’s Tortilla Explosions Pizza and Ranch Tortilla Chips come in an eleven ounce bag for one dollar and forty-nine cents at ALDI Food Market stores. I was eager to give these tortilla chips a try because I enjoy tortilla chips, especially and really only with dip, and I had never come across tortilla chips that were pizza-flavored and ranch-flavored. Some of the tortilla chips are pizza-flavored while others are ranch-flavored. If I liked them, I was planning on buying some bags for the Super Bowl party that I, some family and friends are going to be having next month. After trying the initial bag,

I easily concluded that these tortilla chips won’t be a part of the buffet of snacks.

I don’t have any issues with the freshness of the tortilla chips or the shape they were in. The tortilla chips weren’t at all stale and a majority of the tortilla chips were in one piece. The problem that I have with these tortilla chips pertains to how they taste. The ranch-flavored tortilla chips have a decent degree of ranch flavoring that reminds me very much of tasty ranch salad dressing. Unfortunately, the ranch-flavoring doesn’t agree very much with cheese-flavored or spinach-flavored dip in my opinion, but it’s not ...

      • too bad with a tomato-flavored dip. There was a mild amount of saltiness. I feel though that regular tortilla chips or jalapeno-flavored tortilla chips are better for dipping because the flavors are more compatible with cheese dips and spinach dips. The pizza-flavored tortilla chips were disappointing because all I could make out was some mozzarella taste and even that wasn’t very rich. They were kind of bland, even when I dipped them in a cheese or tomato dip.

Mission Tortilla Triangles Restaurant Style is a tortilla chip product that had more flavor than the pizza-flavored tortilla chips.

Clancy’s Tortilla Explosions Pizza and Ranch Tortilla

Chips get a “5″ rating from me because while they’re okay, they aren’t addicting to snack on or particularly good when dipped. I think Lay’s Ranch Flavored Potato Chips have a slightly better ranch taste than the ranch-flavored tortilla chips do and the pizza-flavored tortilla chips are pretty unimpressive and don’t make me think of pizza like the ranch-flavored tortilla chips make me think of ranch salad dressing. I’ll stick with the Tostitos Scoops! Hint of Jalapeno Tortilla Chips and the Mission Tortilla Triangles Restaurant Style tortilla chips for now when it comes to tortilla chips and the Lay’s Ranch Flavored Potato Chips if I want ranch-flavored chips.
