Sony Bravia Exp40 LCD, great TV with High Definition picture, many different components and an excellent maker. I own this TV myself at the present time, and, I must say, I am very dissatisfied with its performance. It does not keep up with today’s technology, you can’t connect it to the internet, unlike the Samsung TVs All their newer LCD models, oh yeah and they are exactly the same price.

      I tried downloading Netflix

for movies and TV shows, to connect to my Sony TV I have to use either an X box, Wii or PS3, but a Samsung you don’t, it actually has the capability to connect to the internet on its own. Sony has a reputation that is worldwide but for the money you pay it does not give you much in return.

      • games for gaming systems such as X box, PlayStation 3 or the Wii,a lot of the games with high resolutions are too high for most Sony TVs. Unless you are willing to pay twice as much or more for the same TV which you can get from other makers (quality makers) such as Samsung, Sharp or Toshiba for a lot less. Just like any long term decision you should think twice before buying a Sony TV.

Overall when you compare you have to pay considerably more for a Sony TV to get the same features, picture, audio and exactly the same resolution of that of Samsung, Sharp or Toshiba.

Think hard and smart when making this decision, these TVs are expensive and very long-term purchases. I personally recommend not rushing into buying Sony TVs. I find them overpriced, not very user friendly and heavier than most thin LCD TVs of the same size.
