  • Part of the problem is, of course, that any smart phone worth its salt will be used constantly due to its wide variety of enticing features, which will of course decrease your battery life severely over the course of a day
  • Although many people have complained about the bulk and weight of the case, I think this is actually the lightest, slimmest option available
  • After trying out the device several times and fully charging it before each use, I have noticed that it does not fully recharge my phone
  • While this is not ideal, I believe it is more than good enough and mostly does what it claims to do

Those with iPhones are well aware of how fragile the iPhone battery has been. Even with the improvements seen on the iPhone 4, there is still much to be desired. Part of the problem is, of course, that any smart phone worth its salt will be used constantly due to its wide variety of enticing features, which will of course decrease your battery life severely over the course of a day. In those frequent situations where a battery needs to be extended far beyond its original limits, there is a solution, Splash O2 Lite Slim Profile Extended Rechargeable Battery Case!

      The

idea is simple and his been employed with iPhones in the past, this is a case that allows the user to charge it separately from the phone and then, when put on, replenishes the depleted battery to extend use.

This is a great idea and an overall excellent device. What I liked most about Splash O2 is the On/Off button that allows you to decide when you want the case to be charging the phone and when you’d rather it conserve its juice. I am a frequent camper, which means that it is often vital for me to conserve my battery instead of simply letting the doubly charged phone run itself out. With the Splash O2 I am able to control when I use the charge.

Although many people have complained about the bulk and weight of the case, I think this is actually the lightest, slimmest option available. As the iPhone 4 is a totally new shape and build there are not yet many versions of this device available for purchase, but judging on the few options that do exist, as well as the models that fit the iPhone 3G/3Gs, the Splash O2 does actually live up to it’s claim ...

of being “Slim” and “Lite”. It is larger than your average case, yes, but of course there is an added device built inside instead of simply plastic casing.

After trying out the device several times and fully charging it before each use, I have noticed that it does not fully recharge my phone. The highest percentage my iPhone has been able to reach is up to 75% charged, up from zero. While this is not ideal, I believe it is more than good enough and mostly does what it claims to do. It is also slightly annoying that the charger

for the case is not the same as for the iPhone, meaning that two separate chargers are necessary when bringing both for an extended period of time, however this is true of all such devices and is probably one of the next upgrades available for these products.

The Splash O2 Lite is a great product and a great gift for an iPhone user. It is made of sturdy material that feels pleasant on the hands and has excellent grip, making it even more drop-safe than the phone on its own, it is as slim as it gets, and it does its job well.
