I like this show. It is so unlike other shows on tv now. The plot is a young man in his early twenties lives with is parents who had him at 15. They all live with a senile grandmother who comes in and out of lucidity. One day the son goes out for ice cream and meets an attractive woman who he brings home and the young lady he meets. His nutty family loves her

and is so happy for their son until they see a news story about a crazy woman who kills her boyfriends and they recognize the woman in the toilet who is Jimmy’s date as the woman, and they turn her in to the police. Pretty early on in the episode we learn she is crazy and in jail she tells Jimmy she is pregnant and hopes it will get her out of the death penalty which it does not.

      The ...

      • comedy in this episode is that Jimmy does not know what to do with a baby. He quits an awful job which we learn in the next scene is working for his father and with his cousin, and he has no purpose in life until he gets his baby. He has no money so he pawns his belongings for a second hand car seat which is as old as he is.

This episode relies on cheap laughs,

the glove bottle, the shopping cart as the stroller and the ancient carseat which the checker asks if it belonged to Jesus. However, this episode is clever an it leaves you wanting more. I found the cheap laughs lame but I wanted to see where it went from there. All the characters are well developed and are full round characters I wanted to know more about so I watched the next episode and yes it does get better.
