Melbourne. One of the largest cities in Australia, a great place to travel? I would think so. I have been there in total of two times in the past three years. If visiting from another state in Australia, taking a flight there would be the easiest and fastest, you can usually get one way flights for $50 for a cheap flight. Other ways may be driving down if you are from a state such as Sydney or Canberra, where you are not too far. In Melbourne, you can get trains which take you all around.

There are a total of 4 or 5 stations that are in the city. It can be confusing if you do not know where you are going, as all the stations seem to be ‘the city’.

I do know that Flinder’s Street is the place to go if you would like to walk to the city. Melbourne have some very nice areas such as scenery of trees and houses, there are more shops than some other cities as it is much larger. There are more people as well.

One of the things you see in Melbourne that is not in some other states is trams!

Melbourne is a large city that is very busy most times. There are a few very great places that I consider as a must visit if you go to Melbourne. 1. Queen Victoria Market Location: The corner of Victoria and Elizabeth Street. A massive market to go shopping in.

The things there relatively good priced and a very huge area. Make sure ...

      • you prepare a whole day vacancy if you would like to visit the Queen Victoria Markets. Visit http://www. qvm. com.

au/home. php to get details. 2. Melbourne Zoo Location: Elliot Ave, Parkville, Melbourne One of the largest zoos in Australia, this is the place where you could see all the big animals. That’s right, if you want to see the hippopotamuses, elephants, tigers and animals like that, Melbourne Zoo is the perfect place to stay the day in.

To find out information, please visit: http://www. zoo. org. au/melbourne/ Some points to consider in Melbourne: The weather there is almost like four seasons in one day. The temperature can go up to the hottest temperature in summer, then drop all of a sudden to what you’d get in winter.

This is simply the weather pattern. If you are not

a winter person, do not go around June to August. This is winter in Australia, and Melbourne winter can be extremely cold. If you are coming in Winter, make sure you got all the fur coats and warm clothing you need. In Melbourne, it’s mostly after the sunset that it really feels cold.

So during the day, the temperature may seem warm, but you really do feel the cold at night. Student ID cards from other states or countries do not work in Melbourne transport. You would need to buy the adult ticket if you are not a resident in Melbourne. I do think Melbourne is a great part of Australia to visit. It is large in size, but the population is not too high.

It’s a nice place to visit, and it would be a bonus if you had friends there.
