      Soul Calibur 4 (PS3)

The fifth installment of the fighting game series, released for the Playstation 3. Enjoy playing features such as the Story, Arcade, Training and Museum mode.

Or play the new mode Tower of Lost Souls and gain rewards for your characters.

Soul Calibur 4 plays just the same as its previous Calibur titles.

Lets start with the graphics. The graphics are smooth. Every animation looks great, from the slashes of Mitsurugi’s blade to the Massive axe swings of Astaroth. The animation are just impressive.

Sadly, it just feels the same as

Soul Calibur 3. So to those who have played the previous titles might feel like playing the same game over again.

      Now to the Gameplay.

The gameplay, just like the graphics, feel the same as its previous titles. But what really got me playing this game over and over was its deep character customization. And when I mean deep customization, i really mean it.

Wanna make a fiery evil looking, scythe wielding ninja? BAM! You got one!

And that’s not all! Each “equipment” you use adds bonus stats that will improve your fights.

      The ...

      • game still uses the old features it provides its players, which are story, arcade, training, museum. But there is a new mode called Tower of Lost Souls. Sounds fun? Not really.

You see, as you make your way to the top of the tower you must complete a series of versus mode fights against a varying number of opponents, with special skills enabled. And while descending, it switches to survival mode.

Its fun in the first few runs. Later it just gets dull and repetitive.

Thankfully, you earn great rewards when completing

        it.

And If you happen to be a star wars fan, you are in for a treat! Thou the storyline on how they got to the Soul Calibur world is kinda wacky, just being able to play as Darth Vader makes my day!

        Pros: Excellent Graphics.

Responsive controls which makes executing combos easy.

New mode “Tower of Lost Souls” Deep Character Customization

Cons: Feels like playing the same previous Soul Calibur titles.

“Tower of Lost Souls” gets boring easily.

        Should I buy this game?

If you are a fan of the series, then why not. With new characters to boot, this game is fun! Just don’t expect anything new in this game.
