  • Unfortunately the CDMA phones do not come with the chirp feature however they run way better, with faster internet speeds and download times they make watching YouTube videos as easy as 1-2-3
  • I do not recommend iDEN phones unless you are just looking for a phone with just chirp because the reliability of you receiving important text messages can be non-existent, and services area is smaller and less reliable than the newer CDMA however there is more of a selection with the iDEN

I have been a Boost Mobile Customer for the past 3 years, I have had 5 different phones with them my most current is the Incognito. Boost Mobile Service depending on what type can be good, for instance the CDMA service which runs directly from the sprint network works like a charm having a much larger coverage area too. However most of their phones run off the iDEN network which is absolutely terrible. Slow download speeds on text, frequent dropped calls; snail slow internet speeds if any internet speeds at all. The only good service for the phones running off iDEN is

the chirp feature which never drops a call, and is like an instant voice message like a walkie talkie. Unfortunately the CDMA phones do not come with the chirp feature however they run way better, with faster internet speeds and download times they make watching YouTube videos as easy as 1-2-3. For the price it is clearly unbeatable, $50 a month for unlimited talk, text and web with no hidden fees. Yea that is right there ad’s did not lie they have absolutely no hidden fee’s no taxes on their phone bills none of that just straight up in your face service.

      • I do not recommend iDEN phones unless you are just looking for a phone with just chirp because the reliability of you receiving important text messages can be non-existent, and services area is smaller and less reliable than the newer CDMA however there is more of a selection with the iDEN. Most phone companies choose to keep everything on the same type of network but unfortunately Boost Mobile has yet to catch onto that fad.

In all I would have to say Boost mobile is only good on CDMA, if you go with the iDEN phones then disregard the rating on this review.

This rating I have given applies to the Boost Mobile CDMA line only. If I included the iDEN line then the rating would be much lower than it is now.

For Warning, check the coverage map at the boost mobile website to make sure your city is covered, although CDMA is part of the sprint network it does not cover sprints entire coverage area. CDMA is larger than iDEN but smaller than the entire sprint network as a whole so just make sure you research that detail before looking into their phones. I am currently a Boost Mobile customer and will remain one for time to come.
