  • I believe I remember paying under three dollars at the time for the medium red T-shirt, although I'm pretty sure the larger sizes cost extra money
  • I don't put anything in T-shirt pockets and I actually prefer no pockets because I don't like how pockets look on T-shirts
  • No way could I wear this T-shirt throughout the day without feeling somewhat uncomfortable due to the roughness of the material and I most definitely wouldn't be able to easily sleep in it
  • I later would find the Russell Athletic Men's Basic Cotton Tee and although I had to pay double the amount for that red T-shirt, I found it to be a heck of a lot more comfortable and soft

I was not particularly happy with the Port & Company 100% Cotton T-Shirt. I believe I remember paying under three dollars at the time for the medium red T-shirt, although I’m pretty sure the larger sizes cost extra money. I do recall for sure that this T-shirt came in several different colors. I however was only after a red T-shirt. I had other T-shirts that were different colors, like blue, green, purple and brown, for example, but I didn’t have a red T-shirt and I wanted one. I wanted one because I knew a red T-shirt would go very nicely with some shirts that I owned and I also wanted to have a red T-shirt on hand for around Christmas and Valentine’s Day. I purchased this red T-shirt because it seemed to be very reasonably priced. At the time of purchase, I wasn’t able to

try it on as it was wrapped up, so I couldn’t get a feel for the material, but the packaging stated that it was one-hundred percent cotton and didn’t have a tag. Those two qualities alone, in addition to the deep red tone of the T-shirt convinced me to purchase it. I didn’t care one bit that the T-shirt lacked a pocket. I don’t put anything in T-shirt pockets and I actually prefer no pockets because I don’t like how pockets look on T-shirts.

When I got the T-shirt home and out of its packaging and put it on, I was instantly dissatisfied with it. Oh it fit me pretty well, as it should because I picked out a medium and that’s the size that I wear, and it wasn’t tight around the upper arms or around the next, but gosh, I remember this red T-shirt ...

      • being terribly rough up against my skin. It was a very bothersome and distracting feeling. The material, despite being one-hundred percent cotton, wasn’t comfortable up against my back, shoulders and so on. It was scratchy and that wasn’t acceptable. No way could I wear this T-shirt throughout the day without feeling somewhat uncomfortable due to the roughness of the material and I most definitely wouldn’t be able to easily sleep in it. I took the T-shirt back and received a refund on it. I liked everything else about the T-shirt, but no way was I going to put up with the unpleasantness of the material. I later would find the Russell Athletic Men’s Basic Cotton Tee and although I had to pay double the amount for that red T-shirt, I found it to be a heck of a lot more comfortable and soft. It was
well worth the money while this T-shirt most certainly was not, regardless of its other positive qualities.

The Port & Company 100% Cotton T-Shirt was not a T-shirt that I could wear. I didn’t like how the material felt against my skin and although I probably would’ve eventually gotten used to how the material felt, the T-shirt would’ve never been as comfortable as my other T-shirts that I own, and thus I saw no reason to keep it. Regardless of how attractive the shade of red was and despite the roominess around the neck and arms, a T-shirt that’s scratchy is much too big of a negative for me overlook and put up with. Thus, I feel this T-shirt is deserving of a “4″ rating. The Russell Athletic Men’s Basic Cotton Tee has proven to be a far better red T-shirt that I’m very grateful that I came across.
