The song Baby was what catapulted teen singer Justin Bieber to stardom. This song has such a catchy tune, anyone, both young and old people can sing it. Never a day passes that I do not hum the song to myself, which is testament to how hypnotic the lyrics can be.

It is rather simple. Baby is about a boy singing out his love to his heart’s content. It is also a song about losing one’s first love, and hoping that the second time around, the love will not be as unrequited as the first. It has a dancy rhythm to it, so do not be surprised if you start shaking your hips as you listen. You

      are not alone.

Justin Bieber started out as a singer wannabe at YouTube, which virally grew his career, until he clinched a recording deal. Justin is a Canadian, who is as popular in the country as in the United States where he now has throngs of teenybopper following. This fellow got so popular that at one time, he almost beat Lady Gaga in YouTube popularity.

At the age of 19, he already shares the distinction of being in the same podium as Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Susan Boyle, all of which can trace their popularity to their presence online. The lyrics of Baby are well done, and very naturally rendered at that. Of course, it is also very ...

      • popular online where many new spoofs of it are being made available by the day.

I guess with great popularity comes a lot of hate campaign, but oh well, that is a fact of life. Anyway, Baby is not a song you will want to think about, it is a song to dance to. It seems that the dancier tunes are becoming the super hits these days, and Justin knows this only too well.

What I like most about it is the way it is rendered by the singer in his natural, adolescent voice. Who knows, he might even croak a little bit if he sings this song live, because he is in the process of growing an Adam’s

apple. I can only hope that he can maintain the falsetto by the time he grows into adulthood. This is what makes Baby such a gem, because it has such an ephemeral status. There is a good chance that the singer may not be able to sing this song the same way three or four years from now.

For the time being, I recommend you enjoy the song and sing it to your heart’s content. In case you have not heard of it yet, just look it up online, as I am sure it would be very easy to find. It is one great, unpretentious song. Moreover, forget all about the artist’s critics and detractors, every superstar has them.
