  • Unfortunately, Cover Girl Professional Mascara is absolutely one of the worst mascaras I have ever tried
  • I bought this product because I was so happy with Cover Girl's Hydrofuge Fantastic Lash Waterproof Mascara, that I decided to try another Cover Girl mascara
  • The Cover Girl Professional Mascara was a dollar cheaper, so I thought it was worth a try
  • I bought the mascara at Wal-Mart for about five dollars (before tax) -- but, you can also buy it at CVS, Walgreens and various drugstores and you can get it on the web from online cosmetic retailers
  • I would not buy Cover Girl Professional Mascara again and I definitely do not recommend this product -- don't waste your money

Unfortunately, Cover Girl Professional Mascara is absolutely one of the worst mascaras I have ever tried. The consistency is extremely thin — yet it manages to get all globby (yes, globby, that’s a technical term) on my lashes. My brand new tube is already drying out (after only one week), the applicator is squared off (so I can’t separate my little lashes) and it smudges (note: it’s not waterproof either). Even more maddening — no matter how I apply it, I can’t get it

to go on without getting big black blotches on my lids. Then I spend ten minutes trying to correct them with a Q-tip (argh)!

Cover Girl Professional Mascara comes in a plain blue round tube with a squared off top. It has white lettering and no logo on it. I bought this product because I was so happy with Cover Girl’s Hydrofuge Fantastic Lash Waterproof Mascara, that I decided to try another Cover Girl mascara. The Cover Girl Professional Mascara was a dollar cheaper,

      • so I thought it was worth a try. My purchase was made about one week ago and I’ve been using the Cover Girl Professional Mascara on and off for a week. I bought the mascara at Wal-Mart for about five dollars (before tax) — but, you can also buy it at CVS, Walgreens and various drugstores and you can get it on the web from online cosmetic retailers.

The maker of this item is Procter and Gamble. Product and Gamble is a large scale manufacturer who

make all different types of products (not just cosmetics) and I have used their Cover Girl line for foundation and concealer – plus, I recently fell in love with their Hydrofuge waterproof mascara.

Almay and Cover Girl Hydrofuge beat this mascara — there is no competition. I would not use this product again — even if Proctor and Gamble gave it to me for free. I would not buy Cover Girl Professional Mascara again and I definitely do not recommend this product — don’t waste your money.
