Definitely not the best of the casino or hotel at Laughlin, yet River Palms was on a nice location. The view from the room was excellent. As the name suggests River Palms resort casino gave a serene river side view and make sure you ask for the view when checking in. It looked surely an old casino building but the room rates online was very attractive that night so we jumped upon it. Upon valet parking which ultimately caused more delay than self parking, I was not expecting any exceptional service from the staff here.

However checking in experience was quite good with staff greeting well and

told us about the river view. Also it was a very quick and pleasing process with no hassles. Once in the room at River Palms, the size of the room looked large. There were three of us and we fitted in quite lavishly.

The beds were neat and had enough room. But the down side was that the bath room looked terribly aged. There was nothing looked nice in there, even the curtain of the shower had stains with it. With all two nights of my stay the house keeping never came and the linen was not replaced.

Housekeeping everyday was expected even at cheapest of the ...

      • hotels but River Palms resort never seemed to bother. Basically the room was good for a sound sleep and some nice views of the window. But with the amenities in the room, River Palms was a letdown for us. The casino of the River Palms was not a pricey one.

At the same time it was not high on ambience too. The video poker games here helped the money in my wallet to last long with their good paytables. However the slot machines were old and tight too. Some of them sounded really odd while playing.

There was no shortage in finding a slot game here.

With way more than five hundred or so odd machines the floor was big at Laughlin. But the smoky air was a problem. All parts of the casino; be it the high stakes or penny areas had terrible stink of smoke.

There were other casinos in walking distance from here. So I mixed the games with them. I did play blackjack and poker at River Palms casino. Blackjack was an entertaining experience.

But at the poker area it was not that much of a fun with passive dealers and old local gamblers. There was a variety of cuisines in the offering. I tried out their breakfast buffet and came out good.
