  • I love perfumes and the ones that I love are the complex ones that have several layers of notes that I like to indulge me in and definitely one that is musky and woody
  • I am not sure if it has anything to do with my post pregnancy but there is like a 360 degree change in my favourite color to fragrances etc. , I have been feeling a lot girly and for the first time in my life attracted to anything pink and light and floral which is a strong contrast from my die hard liking for the color blue and everything intense
  • I bought it online so I didn’t really get to test it but I did extensive search for reviews and description
  • The Versace Red Jean was created in 1994 and is still around so that goes to say it is quite a successful and popular fragrance and one of the reasons why I decided to get it
  • It is a one blast of heavy scent that fades over time I don’t find it an interesting fragrance at all

I love perfumes and the ones that I love are the complex ones that have several layers of notes that I like to indulge me in and definitely one that is musky and woody. In short I like sensual perfumes and not that much of the floral and fruity ones. But just recently I have been observing some shift in my taste in a lot of things. I am not sure if it has anything to do with my post pregnancy but there is like a 360 degree change in my favourite color to fragrances etc.,

I have been feeling a lot girly and for the first time in my life attracted to anything pink and light and floral which is a strong contrast from my die hard liking for the color blue and everything intense. Well there isn’t much I can do about it but just go with the flow and embrace the new

change in me. While I had been looking for a nice light floral scent I came across the Versace Red Jeans Perfume.

I bought it online so I didn’t really get to test it but I did extensive search for reviews and description. The Versace Red Jeans is described as a sharp floral fragrance. This is said to be a fruity-floral, described as sweet and casual, meant for the young and young-at-heart.

The top notes are peach, apricot, freesia and blackcurrant. In the heart note, lily-of-the-valley, violet, water lily and rose. The base is composed of sandalwood, musk and vanilla. The Versace Red Jean was created in 1994 and is still around so that goes to say it is quite a successful and popular fragrance and one of the reasons why I decided to get it.

The shape of the bottle looks like that of an old fashioned liquor bottle with a cap resembling a screw ...

      • cap. The perfume itself has a reddish tint and quite unattractive actually. I also was not that taken by its outer round tin casing in red with traditional looking cowboy type of design. I bought the perfume solely because of it floral description and based on some good reviews that I had come across.

I paid $29.00 + shipping for the 2.5 oz bottle from an online website called FragranceX. When I received my parcel in post I was super excited to try it out immediately. My initial reaction to the perfume was that it was biting sharp. It has a very sharp and high top note that made me quite uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait for that initial experience to fade and hoped that it would develop into something sweet and warm.

After about 10 minutes the sharpness of the perfume mellowed but I still couldn’t get that initial blast of sharpness out of

my mind and it kind of bothered me. After a few hours I could feel that the perfume notes faded and I could faintly smell the floral notes in a pleasant manner but by then the perfume too was close to fading out completely. I was rather disappointed with the perfume because even though it is a floral fragrance it is not a well rounded perfume.

It does not smell sophisticated or pleasant. It is too sharp for my taste and does not have the layers of notes that I like to enjoy in my perfumes. It is a one blast of heavy scent that fades over time I don’t find it an interesting fragrance at all.

The lasting power of the Eau De Toilette on me was about 4 hours which is good for anyone that would like this perfume.

I personally didn’t like the Versace Red Jean perfume at all.
