  • I really enjoyed the earlier movies such as Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison but some of his later films have been dull
  • It is not the over the top funny film that he made earlier in his career but it is also not boring
  • The film is about a group of kids who win their junior high basketball championship and are the best of friends, but they all grow apart as they get older
  • In the end I do recommend this film but I won't be watching it again

I really have a mixed opinion on this movie. If you like more than 1 other Adam Sandler movie or any Kevin James film you’ll like this. If you thought Kevin James was funny in that mall cop movie this movie is your style and you will like it. On the other hand if you are looking for old school sandler you will be dissapointed. I realized after viewing this film that I have seen every Adam Sandler

film ever made. I really enjoyed the earlier movies such as Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison but some of his later films have been dull. This one falls somewhere in between. It is not the over the top funny film that he made earlier in his career but it is also not boring.

The cast is great. It has a lot of familiar faces to Adam Sandler films, David Spade, Rob Schneider all star along with Kevin James, Salma Hayek and Chris Rock. The cast does a fine job of acting. They all play their characters with believability.

The film is about a group of kids who win their junior high basketball championship and are the best of friends, but they all grow apart as they get older. They all receive the news that their old coach died and they get together for the funeral. Each of them has grown up into a different stereotype ...

so that there are gags to set up in the film. Sandler became rich and has a hot wife, Salma Hayek and their kids are spoiled and the boys are not masculine which threatens Sandler’s own manhood. Spade has become a drunk and a loser, James has lost his job and has a wife who nurses their 4 year old, Rock is a house husband whose wife is the breadwinner and Schneider is a hippy with a much older wife.
/> What I disliked about this film is that you could really see the jokes coming. Everything was a cheap joke such as the woman who keeps nursing her 4 year old in the film. I did think the plot was fine and most of the script when they were not going for a cheap fart joke was funny.

In the end I do recommend this film but I won’t be watching it again. I say rent it, don’t buy it.
