  • The 2009 film “I Love You Man” starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segal was absolutely hilarious and actually had some meaning behind it
  • I would definitely recommend this film to those who are looking for a dose of comedy on movie night
  • This film was very funny, and had many hilarious moments and jokes and I found that the actors were a large contribution to that because they worked so well together
  • The plot of the story was also something that I enjoyed watching because I felt sorry for Peter who was being scrutinized because Zooey and her girlfriends thought that he needed to make male friends

The 2009 film “I Love You Man” starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segal was absolutely hilarious and actually had some meaning behind it. I would definitely recommend this film to those who are looking for a dose of comedy on movie night.

Peter, (Paul Rudd), is about to get married to his girlfriend Zooey. On the way home from their engagement, Zooey calls her two closest friends on the car phone, so that Peter can hear their entire conversation. It turns out that Zooey tells her friends everything about their personal relationship and doesn’t find it a big deal because she has known them her

entire life. Peter has no real friends like that, and after overhearing Zooey with a group of her girlfriends in the living room talking about how Peter is going to be clingy because he has no male friends he gets discouraged and tries to fit in with the boys. He tries to be friends with Zooey’s friends husbands, but doesn’t fit in well with them at all. He tries to meet men at the gym who his gay brother sets him up with, but they either think that he is interested in men or he just doesn’t get along with them. Coincidentally he meets ...

      • someone named Sydney (Jason Segal) at an open house he showing to potential buyers and they hit it off right away. This sparks their best friend relationship that Zooey finds to be harming their future marriage as Peter and Sydney’s relation blossoms. They go through ups and downs, and in the end Peter stops being friends with Sydney to save he and Zooey’s relationship and no longer invites him to the wedding. Secretly, Zooey invites Sydney because he is Peter’s best friend, and thus he and Peter tell each other that they love each other using manly words so that no one thinks they
        are interested it each other.

This film was very funny, and had many hilarious moments and jokes and I found that the actors were a large contribution to that because they worked so well together. The plot of the story was also something that I enjoyed watching because I felt sorry for Peter who was being scrutinized because Zooey and her girlfriends thought that he needed to make male friends. I was glad when he met Sydney and liked that they formed a best friend relationship as the movie continued.

I would highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys comedy and has not seen “I Love You Man”.
