CityVille is the latest game released by Zynga. Players build a city complete with businesses, residential houses, apartments, municipal buildings and other structures. Players can also open a business in a friend’s city by using franchises.

The game uses what are called “goods” for the game economy. Goods can be produced by crops or shipped in by ships or trains. Goods are used by businesses which produce money for the player to expand their city. This is the first 3D game by Zynga and their best

title to date. The game does have a larger social element to it and you’ll need a good number of Facebook friends to get the most out of the game. Energy points are used to do most of the tasks in the game and you feel like you’re building a city.

As you play the game you can complete quests. These quests will unlock the ability to build certain structures in the game and follow a bit of a story. As you do the quest you’ll ...

      • eventually be granted the status of mayor in your city. You won’t gain access to all the building unless you complete the quests so it’s recommended that you do them all to enjoy all the benefits of the game.

The franchises make a nice addition to the game and are one of the best features of CityVille. You can place a business in a friend’s city and get a headquarters building for your own city. You can then expand your headquarters until you get a huge

skyscraper in your city. Players can have multiple franchises and each headquarters adds to the skyline in your own city.

I have enjoyed CityVille and it’s one of the best games I have played on Facebook. There’s already a great deal of nice buildings in the game. The ability to use trains and ports to bring in goods is a nice touch and the game looks much better than Farmville which is showing its age. I would recommend CityVille to anyone who likes city style building games.
