This electric kettle was a Christmas gift so I don’t know what the price is but if I had to guess, I would say, under $30 - it’s your basic electric kettle nothing special. Aesthetically the kettle is plain white, rather bulky, and shaped like an actual standard kettle. It has a capacity of 2 liters so it can hold a lot which is nice.

In terms of wattage it stands at a whopping 1500!

I usually use it for boiling water for tea and due to its capacity

it can fill two teapots easily. A full kettle boils surprisingly quick; far superior to any conventional-stovetop kettle.

Even boiling just a couple cups of water is incredibly quick - perfect for the morning when Im in a rush. I would say its capacity and quickness to boil water are biggest pros to the kettle, but there are some flaws.

Like most standard electric kettles is has an auto-off function for when the water reaches a boil. This is a nice feature to have because you can just let ...

      • it sit on the counter and go to your normal business, but what if you want to actually turn it off.

Well you cant, so if you change your mind or if you just want semi-hot water you have to just unplug the kettle; whereas on my previous electric kettle you could just push the off button even though it had the automatic off feature. Basically the kettle should keep the auto-off function but still allow the option to manually turn it off.

The second flaw, though minor, is

the small opening to fill the kettle. On my previous kettle it had a lid that came off so there was plenty of room to pour water in, but on this kettle there is one small opening with no lid.

This isnt a huge concern but it would nice if it was slightly larger. Overall its mediocre functionality makes up in convenience and time.

Also you dont have to worry about the heating elements building up lime scale since the elements are not actually submerged in the water which is a nice hygienic feature.
