My family and I often eat at Peking Garden Chinese restaurant. It’s the best restaurant in Manila if you want to eat Peking duck. Peking Garden currently has two branches: one in Trinoma Mall and the other in Greenbelt 5. We often frequent the Greenbelt branch although I have also dined at the Trinoma branch a couple of times as well. The Trinoma branch has a more family feel while the Greenbelt one is classier.

The specialty of the restaurant is their

Peking Duck because the meat is so lean, and has almost no fat at all. Aside from this, it’s very tender and tasty. A whole duck costs P2500 (USD 57.20). You can have it many ways, but the best one is still when you wrap the thinly sliced meat in a wrapper and put cucumber and hoisin sauce.

Aside from the Peking Duck, the other offerings I’ve tried are also very good. My other favorites include the E-fu noodles, the ...

      • shrimp balls, and the lamb that you wrap in something like a pita bread. The crystal prawns are also very good as they are fresh, large and crispy. There is much variety in their food that you can order different things every time. A normal viand would cost around P300-600 (USD 7-13).

The service in the Greenbelt mall, which I am more familiar with, is a hit or miss. The manager is always very accommodating, but the servers are sometimes hard to

call. The restaurant has a very classy Chinese restaurant ambiance that fits the elegant and high-end Greenbelt mall, although on one recent occasion, I saw a tiny bug flying around which was quite bothersome.

All in all, Peking Garden remains one of the best Chinese restaurants in Manila and is ideal for big gatherings and family meals. The price is a bit expensive, but worth it if you want a delicious, classy, and quality meal. I will definitely be back again and again. Highly recommended!
