  • So I think they are pretty much interchangeable
  • I know that most women probably don't want to walk around with gold looking lips, because that isn't a natural extension of the way lips normally look
  • I would recommend it if you like that kind of natural look, and if you have the kind of lips that can pull it off nicely

I have tried a couple of Bobbi Brown’s nude, gold-toned lip colors. One was a metallic lip color called Beige Gold, and the second one is this shade called Sunset Nude (from her Creamy Lip Color collection). They are similar in look and feel. They are both comfortable and moist lipsticks, and they both have a faint gold pigmentation. She really didn’t need to create both of these shades, beause they almost look identical. So I think they are pretty much interchangeable. I just happen to have Sunset Nude, because it is one of the colors that is included in Bobbi’s Pink & Gold Lip Palette. It’s a limited-edition holiday palette that includes six lip colors and a lip

      brush for $45.

Sunset Nude is the kind of lip color you wear when you want a “naked” looking lip, as Bobbi would probably say. It has just enough shimmer in it to make it stand out a bit and give it a sexy glow. This is really the kind of lip color that you wear when you are in more of a lip gloss mood than a lipstick mood. Even though Sunset Nude doesn’t exactly give you the shine of a lip gloss, it has that sheer and barely-there look about it. So if you want that type of look, but with more of the coverage of a lipstick, then Sunset Nude would be the right choice for you.

      • I suppose it is a nice color to wear in the summer time, because of its soft golden glow. It will compliment your tan skin.

I only wish that it had more gold pigmentation in it, and that was my same complaint about Beige Gold. I know that most women probably don’t want to walk around with gold looking lips, because that isn’t a natural extension of the way lips normally look. But I just like different looks in lip colors, so I wish that Bobbi or one of the other cosmetic companies would create a true gold lipstick, or at least something very close to it. I’m going to look into that and see if any of them already

        have.

Sunset Nude is basically a beige lipstick with a touch of gold shimmer. I would recommend it if you like that kind of natural look, and if you have the kind of lips that can pull it off nicely. Actually, I think the gold shimmer makes my lips look just a little bit fuller, so that is always a plus for those of us who unfortunately have thin lips.

Another unfortunate thing is that Bobbi’s lipsticks are expensive. They are $22 a tube, so you may want to try this on before you spend all that money. I know I will not buy a tube of this after getting it in the palette, because it just doesn’t have enough gold pigmentation for me.
