  • When I read the leaflet inside before taking the Augmentin for the first time, I found out it was actually an antibiotic which has been used to fight not only ear infections, but for respiratory, wound, urinary tract, dental, bone and joint and other infections as well
  • The Augmentin did not cost a staggering amount of money like I expected either, since it was JA$3686.20, but I was even happier to learn that my insurance covered most of it, and so I had to pay only less than JA$1000 for it
  • I think that the Augmentin 1GM Tablets helped my ear infection too, since I did not come down with a fever and I could feel the ear infection itself clearing up

I went to the doctor’s office some month’s ago and was diagnosed with an ear infection in by my general practitioner. Along with a bottle of ear drops and some cataflam tablets, since I was having some pain with it, she also prescribed some Augmentin 1GM tablets for me.

When I read the leaflet inside before taking the Augmentin for the first time, I found out it was actually an antibiotic which has been used to fight not only ear infections, but for respiratory, wound, urinary tract,

dental, bone and joint and other infections as well. Another thing the doctor asked me first before prescribing it was if I am allergic to penicillin, and then later when I read the leaflet I realized that Augmentin contained penicillin.

The Augmentin did not cost a staggering amount of money like I expected either, since it was JA$3686.20, but I was even happier to learn that my insurance covered most of it, and so I had to pay only less than JA$1000 for it.

As for the Augmentin 1GM ...

      • Tablets themselves, it can be pretty hard swallowing one. I was also instructed to take only one every 12 hours.

I think that the Augmentin 1GM Tablets helped my ear infection too, since I did not come down with a fever and I could feel the ear infection itself clearing up.

I also did not receive any noticeable side effects from it either for a while, which I found to be great until I missed my period for a few weeks. I was not sexually active, so I knew

it could not be pregnancy, and so I suspected after doing some research on the internet, that it might be one of the ingredients used in the Augmentin, since I found one or two other people had that same symptom after using it. I also realized that it could have been as a result of the infection that cause me to miss my period.

Nevertheless, I think Augmentin is a good drug, but I would not recommend that someone take it unless it was prescribed by a doctor.
