SM Mall of Asia (popularly called MOA) used to be the biggest mall in the Philippines. But now, it is only second in land area to SM North EDSA which was renovated and expanded in December 2008. As a frequent shopper, I still prefer MOA over SM North EDSA due to its location and layout.

Since SM North EDSA was only expanded, it is composed of several connected buildings unlike MOA which is really just one big mall. SM Mall of Asia is located in

a reclaimed area by the Manila Bay in Pasay City.

It can be reached by bus travelling along EDSA going to Baclaran. It is also accessible by taking the MRT (Metro train) to EDSA station then riding jeepneys that go straight to the MOA terminal.

You cannot miss the mall as it has a very big iron globe on its facade. The back of the mall is facing the Manila Bay, a great location to view the sunset.

It is divided into three ...

      • sections - SouthMall, Main mall and North Mall. What I love most about MOA is that it has a wide variety of shops and restaurants for all types of shoppers.

Fastfood and fine dining restaurants are available in all three sections of the mall. Al Fresco and air-conditioned dining areas are available.

There’s an IMAX theater and several other regular movie houses. There are also lots of local and international boutiques from mid-priced to high-end.

There are also electronic and computer stores as well

as medical and dental services. There is also a big supermarket at the North mall.

What I also like about the mall is that it is well designed such that strolling is not stressful. The corridors are wide and stroller friendly.

There is also ample parking space with standard mall parking rates. I also find it helpful that there are benches randomly located within the mall, in case to want to rest for a while.

The comfort rooms are also clean and strategically located within the mall.
