Whale watching has become a tourist drawer lately in Victoria, BC. Fishermen who are out on the water frequently are always spotting whales surfacing on our ocean, the Pacific.

In the last few years some

boaters have made it their business to take people out in the water to see whales.

It is pure chance whether a whale will appear or not and the tourist will pay for the trip regardless.

      ...

      • the excitement is high for a person who does not live near the ocean and has not experienced the animals living in it.

I myself have seen a number of whales while out fishing or

        just sitting on the ferry.

They are magnificant animals who do not bother people unless people bother them.

Government has a ban against harming the whales in any way, so they are a protected species.
