  • Considering though how weak the cinnamon flavor is and how the frosting housed within the pancakes is positively bland, the small size of the pancakes suddenly becomes a larger problem since there's no positives to offset the disappointing size of the pancake

Twelve Kellogg’s Original Cinnabon Pancakes come in a package for two dollars and fifty cents. That may sound like a fairly good deal, but the pancakes themselves actually aren’t that big. They’re more like mini-pancakes, looking to be about four inches in length. The size of the pancakes seriously came as a surprise because on the box, the pancakes appear normal in size and the box didn’t indicate that these were mini-pancakes. Perhaps the fact that the box contained a total of

twelve pancakes should have served as a clue that the pancakes weren’t going to be the typical size that many frozen pancakes come in. Not only are these pancakes small in size, but they also have a small amount of flavor to them, too. That’s a bad combination right there.

The scent of cinnamon was noticeable after a couple of these pancakes were heated up. While the cinnamon is detectable in scent, it’s invisible to the taste if butter and syrup are added to the pancakes. In order to taste the cinnamon, the pancakes must only be lightly buttered and can’t have any syrup on them. Without syrup though, pancakes simply don’t taste as good. The amount of cinnamon added to these pancakes must have been very little, because if a person makes pancakes from a box mix and adds cinnamon to the pancake batter, then those pancakes will have a rich cinnamon flavor that’s noticeable even after syrup has been poured over them. • Kellogg's Original Cinnabon Pancakes
disappointing in flavor was the frosting that was inside the pancakes. It was very bland and difficult to taste, even when syrup wasn’t added to the pancakes. At least with the cinnamon, there was a pleasant aroma and could be tasted if no syrup was used, but the frosting contributed not a thing. The pancakes were thin and thus easy to cut.

The box made these pancakes sound tasty, but they ended up being more disappointing than anything. If the pancakes were actually

good and enjoyable, then the small size of the pancakes would be irrelevant and the price for a box would be fair. Considering though how weak the cinnamon flavor is and how the frosting housed within the pancakes is positively bland, the small size of the pancakes suddenly becomes a larger problem since there’s no positives to offset the disappointing size of the pancake. This is one breakfast product that doesn’t deserve a spot in the home freezer. I feel a “2″ rating is very fair.
