Arguably, the best war film ever to be made. I believe it was filmed in 1962.

Big names like, John Wayne, Richard Burton and Sean Connery to name a few, starred in

      this black & white movie.

What intrigued me the most about this flick was that the Americans/British spoke English, the French spoke French and the Germans spoke German.

In this 3 hour film, the scenes were very accurate and well done.

The lack of colour made it seem that it was on old film from the war era.

This film is about D-Day, the ...

allied forces landing on Normandy beach in France for the next chapter of the war.

There were some humurous scenes that complemented the historically correct fighting and strategic scenes.

      This movie is

educational for those of us too young for that time and to understand what war was all about along with the lessons we all learned back then.

If you want to learn about D-Day, this is the one to watch.

A classic movie, with amazing war scenes before the use of CGI Though it is rated G, G ratings were different back then. If it were to be rated now, it would most likely be a PG or PG-13. Since it is a war movie, you’d probably expected deaths, and your right Countless of soldiers are killed throughout the film. You’ll see dozens of people dying during the sands of Normandy. Many deaths show no to little blood, but a few occasions you will see a person with a bloody patched up wound. Or blood around the face area. Many uses of swear words are said, about a couple of dozens uses of H ll amp D amn, and one use of B tard.
