Farm Foods
2-8 Kingsway Bedford MK42 9BA
  • What I enjoy about Farm Foods is that it stocks well known brands at a cheaper price than many of the more established supermarkets like Sainsburys or Tesco
  • I think they are quite clever at enticing people who believe that they are in for a cheaper shop and end up piling their trolley full of unhealthy food which at the till will amount to quite a high price
  • I like to pop in for the odd thing such as biscuits, crisps or maybe milk and bread as they tend to sell this at relatively low prices
  • The store layout is not too bad, but if you arrive at a busy time then queuing can become an issue as there is not an awful lot of space for this

When it comes to food shopping in Bedford, you can do a lot worse than visit Farm Foods. It has been around for may years now but people are also a little wary of trying something they don’t know so well, but now the brand name has grown, more and more people seem to be shopping here.

What I enjoy about Farm Foods is that it stocks well known brands at a cheaper price than many of the more established supermarkets

like Sainsburys or Tesco. They stock frozen food, a little fresh food as well and plenty of packaged or bagged confectionery such as crisps and cakes.

I have to confess that it is not a shop I would use for my entire food shop. I think they are quite clever at enticing people who believe that they are in for a cheaper shop and end up piling their trolley full of unhealthy food which at the till will amount to quite ...

      • a high price.

I like to pop in for the odd thing such as biscuits, crisps or maybe milk and bread as they tend to sell this at relatively low prices. I also come here if I am stocking up on food for a party as what they offer is again quite cheap and quality wise it’s not too bad at all.

The store layout is not too bad, but if you arrive at a busy time then queuing can become an

issue as there is not an awful lot of space for this. There is a decent size car park but getting in and out can also prove a little tricky as the entrance and exit are pretty much the same thing and often seems to cause problems for cars trying to enter and exit at the same time.

Still really appreciate it as a shop though, just don’t go at a busy time and don’t look to do your entire shop there.
