  • When I come home I just want to shower and go to sleep, but I still have essays and assignments due the next day so I need to keep my self awake somehow, and to achieve this any aid in any form is welcome to me and I will definitely give them a try to determine if it really helps me awaken my senses and keep going through the night
  • I saw this product in an e-mail newsletter that Lush send me and I thought this concept was perfect for me as I shower when I come home and something that can help me boost my energy level in the shower would be useful to me as I then wouldn’t have to waste time doing other things that help me keep awake like making coffee, etc. So I went ahead to my nearest Lush store and bought this product
  • It doesn’t have any special storage or anything and when I bought this in the store, it was displayed just piled on top of one another
  • I didn’t put it under direct water as I know it would fizz up too quickly and then just disappear down the drain, which would mean the entire product would be gone really quickly before I even know what I was supposed to experience
  • It cost me $4.50, which is actually one of their cheaper product as I believe there is nothing before $6 in that store, but still I feel it was money wasted

I am a fulltime university student and on top of that I also have two jobs. So needless to say I get very stressed out at the end of the day. When I come home I just want to shower and go to sleep, but I still have essays and assignments due the next day so I need to keep my self awake somehow, and to achieve this any aid in any form is welcome to me and I will definitely give them a try to determine if it really helps me awaken my senses and keep going through the night.

I saw this product in an e-mail newsletter that Lush send me and I thought this concept was perfect for me as I shower when I come home and something that can help me boost my energy level in the shower would be useful to me as I then wouldn’t have to waste time doing other things that help me keep awake like making coffee, etc. So I went ahead to my nearest Lush store and bought this product. It doesn’t have any special storage or anything and when I bought

this in the store, it was displayed just piled on top of one another. The store sales associate just grabbed one from the pile, put it in a paper bag and rung it up. It was that simple.

Basically this product is like a bar that you put on your shower room floor or wherever water can hit it indirectly. When water hits it, it fizzes up and releases a citrusy fragrance that is meant to boost the user’s energy levels and help them feel awake. That is what is supposed to happen according to their explanation anyway. As I said it comes in bar form with a dancing man molded on it. It is rough to the touch and feels like it might break if I drop it, so I would be pretty careful with this product. I don’t think it is of much use after it has broken or crumbled, it needs to be in its full solid form otherwise the effectiveness maybe compromised. It feels sort of powdery when dry. This product is not to be used directly on skin; it is not meant for skin or body at ...

      • all. It is mainly for your senses, specifically your smelling sense (I forget the actual word). The pure purpose of this product is for the user to smell its fragrance and feel invigorated by it.

To use this, I took it out of the Lush bag and put it on my shower floor in a dry area. I didn’t put it under direct water as I know it would fizz up too quickly and then just disappear down the drain, which would mean the entire product would be gone really quickly before I even know what I was supposed to experience. So I put mine in a corner behind a bucket so water wouldn’t hit it directly but just enough for it to be in contact with water. When I turned on the shower and water hit it, it started to fizz up and released its fragrance and that continued to happen throughout the shower.

I have to say I am pretty disappointed by this product. Even though I kept it away from direct water it still fizzed up really quickly. The fragrance it released was citrusy smelling, but not exactly pleasant. It

was kind of sour and disgusting, definitely nowhere close to orange juice, but more like orange-tasting medicine. Like those vitamin C tablets doctors sometimes prescribe, but a little worse than them. It was awful and I truly hated it, and I was kind of glad the product fizzed up and was gone soon, I didn’t want to smell that disgusting smell any longer than I had to. I was definitely not awakened either. More like I wanted to throw up. I know I sound kind of harsh, but I’m just describing my honest feelings. It was not a pleasant experience overall. Moreover, after I was done showering and was toweling off, the product kept making hissing toxic sounds in the corner of my shower room, it was creepy.

So I would definitely never buy this product again or recommend it to others as it pretty bad smelling and can arouse feelings of nausea among people. It cost me $4.50, which is actually one of their cheaper product as I believe there is nothing before $6 in that store, but still I feel it was money wasted.
