Ain’t It Just Like You isn’t a typical Toby Keith song in many senses. I love the song though. She decides that she is going to leave, but she isn’t really that sure that she wants to go. He doesn’t want her to go so he prays, begs and finally convinces her to stay. Many couples go through this version of Toby Keith’s song. He has several awesome songs out there, but this came from a different side of him that we are used

to seeing. It is a slow song, for the most part. It has a bit of an upbeat, but not likely to be on any fast dance hit lists.

Toby’s voice is perfect for this song. He has the ability to soothe a person with his voice when he wants to and with other songs he makes himself sound like he’s a tough guy. In reality, I think he is really a big softy at heart and this song shows that side of him. It ...

      • is refreshing to hear that part of Toby Keith come out. We are seeing more and more of that side of Toby and I love it. Toby is best known for his songs poking fun at the male/female relationship. He has very funny videos and he just has a way to bring it across so that it comes out as funny rather than offensive. Some people still take him offensively though. There is nothing that you can take offensively about this song though. It
is a love song about fighting but wanting to make up.

This is one of Toby’s better songs even if it isn’t one of the funny ones. Toby does a serious song just as well as he does a funny song. The problem I think most people have is that they have him stereotyped to the kind of song he is supposed to do. Forget everything that you think you know about Toby Keith and give him a fresh look. You will love what you see.
