Cold Blooded, the latest episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, didn’t impress me as much as last week’s show about hoarding did, but it was close. This was more of a Halloween themed show, not that many shows could be called that from this current year of episodes. In truth, it’s two good shows in a row for this drama, which has had some disappointing episodes in this season.

I really enjoyed the ‘Walking with Dinosaurs’ portion

of the show. It had some humor to it, especially for the awesome Wallace Langham. He’s done a lot of the comic relief for the series, as well as just being the every guy that you just can’t help but love. He just adores these big dinosaurs that are used in a traveling show. His scenes with them are so much fun. He even calls in sick from the lab so he can ...

      • ‘play’, which is funny since Langston (Laurence Fishburne) is right there watching him goof off.

Then there was the super serious plot which dealt with a murder and an old kidnapping case that had a lot of ins and outs to it. I won’t call these twists as much as there were simply a lot of complexities to the story. The emotional play was big on this, and I liked, too, that it included members of the

CSI team, especially Nick (George Eads). It was believable and had elements that sometimes frustrated and even angered, and yet really touched your heart.

Jessica Hecht did a very commendable job as Carly Beck, the mother of one of the kidnapped girls, and William R. Moses was good as the dad of the other girl. I was surprised that I enjoyed Katee Sackhoff somewhat as Det. Frankie Reed. I can see her recurring in more episodes.
