CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Sqweegel is yet another story about a serial killer on the loose. There is something that makes this one different, but it sure feels like CSI is having troubles coming up with new tales to tell.

The intrigue comes when it is realized that local heroes are being targeted. It gets complex when the team figures out that all of the victims had secrets that could be damaging to them.

I do admit that it was

good drama but it’s yet another serial killer, not captured, that will come back to haunt them as the series continues. We’ve done this in so many of the recent seasons. I just hope for something unique to captivate my mind.

There was an interesting guest star in Ann-Margret. I would have thought she’d have a bigger part, but mostly we see her as a victim being terrorized. There wasn’t a lot of substance to her time ...

      • on screen. Now that isn’t to say that her character wasn’t good, because the Margot Wilton was solid.

Wilton was a high profile philanthropist in Las Vegas whose secret is haunting. The problem is that in the end, we just don’t get enough of her. This woman is a very talented actress with charisma and who sizzles. She deserved a bigger and expanded role and not this minimal showing.

As for the serial killer known as Sqweegel and

portrayed rather amazingly by Daniel Browning Smith, he is very different in that he’s like a contortionist. He wears a mostly black, body hugging outfit from head to foot, and he tends to walk around like a centipede. He’s a little like Spiderman. The story on him could be what makes this serial killer better than the past ones, but if they don’t have something special here, it’s just going to be another year of another killer.
