  • My granddaughter had gotten old enough to figure out the things that she wanted for herself and so I decided to take her shopping to choose a few things that she wanted for herself
  • I think it was a novelty thing and I cannot be sure what caught her eye about it
  • She did play with it a few times, but hardly enough to justify the purchase price that I paid for it
  • I would not recommend this toy for that reason

I am always looking for toys for my grandchildren for when they come to visit me. It just makes it easier than moving toys back and forth between homes. My granddaughter had gotten old enough to figure out the things that she wanted for herself and so I decided to take her shopping to choose a few things that she wanted for herself. She chose this Fisher Price My Walking Back Pack as one of her toys. I was a bit skeptical of it because it looked a little on the cheap side to me and I wasn’t really sure what she would use it for. It didn’t really matter though. She chose it and I am sure she had in mind what she wanted to

do with it. It cost $18.97 at Walmart.

There is one thing you should know about this backpack. You will need to purchase batteries for it. You don’t want to forget those, like I did, before you leave the store. They toy is useless without the batteries to go along with it. This is a cute toy although I wouldn’t have chosen it for her. I still don’t really understand her need for it. She doesn’t really use it. It mostly sit in a corner somewhere in the room and she plays with all her other toys. I think it was a novelty thing and I cannot be sure what caught her eye about it. She did play with it a few times, but hardly enough ...

      • to justify the purchase price that I paid for it. It has a little back pack that talks to her, It even has eyes and a mouth. It is a cute little back pack that she can put things in. It also has a map and a flashlight. I honestly think she just wanted the flashlight because that is all she plays with. It would have been better just to buy her a flashlight than to purchase an entire package of things that she barely touches.

I probably would not purchase this product again. It was a waste of money since she has barely used it at all. Other children might find more use for it. She just chucked it aside and barely paid attention to

it again. I would not recommend this toy for that reason. Even though she picked it out herself, it is something that sat without being used more than three times. She completely ignores the fact that she even has it now amongst the many other toys that she has in her “Grandmom’s Toy Collection”. She is spoiled, that is for sure, but she plays with most of her other toys. This one just wasn’t a big hit with her even though it is something she claimed to want when she chose it. I would suggest that you find something that will grab the children’s attention and keep it a lot longer. This toy just didn’t cut the mustard. Save your money and space in your home by purchasing something else.
